GPS All Day app for iPhone and iPad

Record your tracks for up to 80% longer! (#1)

GPS All Day allows the iPhone to record GPS tracks for an extended period of time by turning off Location Services between samples. The "sample interval", "required accuracy", and "timeout period" are all under the control of the user.

Location Services are turned on at the preset "sample interval". Once a sample of the "required accuracy" has been received Location Services are turned off. If no sample is received within the preset "timeout period", the sample is aborted

Locations are recorded in a standard GPX file, named automatically using the start date and time. Files are saved in the applications public documents folder, allowing them to be transferred via iTunes.

The App must be running in the foreground and visible at all times for recording to take place. To avoid accidental button presses the screen can be "locked", disabling the buttons.

Whilst recording is taking place the location, running time, average speed, distance travelled, distance from the origin, location accuracy and sample count are displayed.

Recorded GPX files can be displayed on the Track Summary page which includes a map view and textual summary.

The App provides comprehensive built in off-line help, this is duplicated at the support URL (under Ratings and Reviews in iTunes).

The track cannot be viewed on the map whilst recording is taking place.
